ASA 103 Basic Coastal Cruising In this course, students learn the skills needed to skipper a small sailboat in protected waters. Topics include navigation, anchoring, reefing, and boat handling in heavier winds. Beginner
ASA 104 Bareboat Cruising This course prepares students to skipper a bareboat (a boat without a hired captain or crew) in coastal waters. Topics include provisioning, weather forecasting, and advanced sail handling techniques. Intermediate
ASA 105 Coastal Navigation In this course, students learn the theory and practice of coastal navigation, including dead reckoning, chart reading, and electronic navigation tools. Intermediate

ASA 110 Basic Small Boat Sailing This course teaches the basics of sailing on a small boat with a single sail. Students will learn about points of sail, sail trim, and basic boat handling. Beginner
ASA 114 Cruising Catamaran In this course, students learn the skills needed to skipper a cruising catamaran in coastal waters. Topics include anchoring, docking, and heavy weather techniques. Intermediate
ASA 118 Docking Endorsement This course focuses on the skills needed to safely dock and undock a boat under various conditions, including wind and current. Intermediate
ASA 119 Marine Weather Endorsement This course teaches students how to understand and interpret marine weather forecasts, including the use of weather charts and satellite imagery. Intermediate
